NC mandate: lower energy consumption 30% = Duke 30% rate increase

As part of the stimulus package Governor Bev Purdue implemented the that all state buildings increase energy efficiency and reduce waste over the next few years.

As part of the stimulus package, I'm sure that a number of states have put similar measures into effect.

Yesterday James Rogers told a conference of Southern Governors: "the days of cheap, plentiful energy will soon be behind them"

According to James this is "because power companies are upgrading plants and competition is heating up for increasingly scarce fuel."

3. thanx for the welcome but

I have been here since Sept '05. I found DU during Katrina, when it was one of the best place to get the news (and the rumors) all in one place. I rarely post though.
