Largest vet-led protest in decades Thursday at White House
Civil Resistance at White House Led by Veterans I

Military veterans will lead a nonviolent act of civil resistance at the White House
Thursday, Dec. 16, at 10:00 a.m. to protest the ongoing U.S. wars and occupations.
Veterans For Peace organizers expect this to be the largest veteran-led resistance since
the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan began.

Among the scheduled participants: Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers; Mike
Ferner, Veterans For Peace national president; Leah Bolger, Veterans For Peace vice
president and retired Navy commander; Ray McGovern, retired CIA official; Coleen Rowley,
FBI whistleblower; and Chris Hedges, author and former New York Times war correspondent

4. There are local events happening tomorrow in various other places as well
for those who aren't near DC

Some are listed here:

But there are others - the one nearest me isn't on that list, I just heard about it through the grapevine.

7. Lamestream Media
Will not acknowledge this event, anymore than they did the other protest since Bush got the latest wars going. Likely go down the Memory Hole before the sun sets.

But I may be wrong. If FOX has an angle to make BO look bad, they'll cover it. Even though they've been in love with these wars forever.

My love and respect to all of these veterans. I'll check the net to see if there is any video of it. Thanks for the post.

13. Daniel Ellsberg arrested with others at White House.
They've been after Daniel Ellsberg for decades? I don't think he'd knowingly break a law after what he went through.

14. Set newsrooms on "ignore"
I won't stop marching in the streets and engaging in other freedom fighting activities, but I think I've finally gotten it through my thick, dirty fucking hippie head that the popular news outlets don't give a flying flip about citizen protest (Teabaggers excepted, but they're really more a projection of corporate opinion).
