Forget global warming, I'm concerned about global cracking
4 earthquakes in the United States in 4 days? What is going on? And is man contributing to the quakes somehow?

2. Absolutely. By refusing to believe in the Flying Sphagetti Monster and His Noodly Appendage,
man is causing the quakes. His Pastaness is vexed.

Actually I just really want some spaghetti. I hope his pastaness won't be offended if I slurp up a big bowl of noodles tonite. :)

3. The Earth won't break apart just from x-amount of earthquakes
It'll take much, MUCH more force.

4. Induced seismicity
Men can only cause minor earthquakes and tremors, see

5. It is not unreasonable to speculate that the increase in average ground temperatures
could facilitate yesterdays event. There have been reports of increased ground temps this summer. This increase has been blamed for a record number of water main breaks and highway infrastructure issues. It is evident that the eastern portion of the country is some way a continuous large mass and that same mass could experience tremendous stress/expansion due to a very insignificant increase in temperature.
