AKA: Wretched Excess.
That's what he should name the goddam airplane.
Wonder how much he pays in income taxes?

(edited to add my favorite Trump photo.)

THIS is what's wrong with America.

"When you're Donald Trump, you need to have a plane to match your larger-than-life personality. In this case, that plane is a 757. His new ride sits 43, has a 16-hour flying range and is powered by Rolls Royce engines. To give a bit of a comparison, a typical 757 seats 186 to 289 passengers and the seatbelts and other accessories are not 24k gold plated. (Shocker, we know.) Other notable features? A 57" TV in the "media room", a DVD storage system of 1,000 movies, Trump's personal DVR, a private master suite for Trump and a guest suite with a full bed, bathroom and more.

According to BTJ Online, Trump selected the aircraft because he "always felt the 757 was the best looking of all the commercial planes."

The plane is about twice the size of his 727 and, although he's not disclosing price, rumor is the plane was bought for around $100 million from Microsoft's Paul Allen.
"

8. Brilliant. Really.
When it comes right down to it, we all have to contemplate and/or confront our own mortality.
Since I turned 70 I do that more often that I'd like to.
But he still gets to contemplate his demise while enjoying a lifestyle that the rest of us can't even dream of.
:-(

7. On the plus side, someone made the airplane initially. Someone had to be paid
to retrofit. Someone must be paid to fly it and to perform maintenance. It's even possible some of those 'someone' might even be part of a union somewhere.

agree the 757 is my favorite looking jetliner.

I do agree it's a little excessive though (especially gold-plated crap, or other pointless additions), but I must admit I rather envy people like John Travolta (I certainly don't want to be like Donald Trump, no matter what he has) who flies his own 727 to places.

Honestly, I could care less what fancy toys a rich person has -- but I absolutely due take issue with their unfettered greed and inability to pay their fair share of income taxes. If we're going to have rich people in this country, then they need to be more like the "socialist," Warren Buffett.

10. I'm surprised he still publicizes his excesess...
if I had that much dough I'd keep a low profile. Well, the world needs to know who the rich douchebags are, I suppose.

11. And remember the kerfuffle from a couple of weeks ago
When there was a proposal to extend the depreciation schedule on privately-owned jets from five years to seven years? You would have thought, the way the Republicans were wailing, that the nation was going straight to Hell. How, oh how, could we ask the captains of industry, these latter-day princes of the realm, to wait an extra 730 days to realize the full tax benefit from their private jets? Oh, it was to weep, it was! The cold, heartless, relentlessly grasping hand of government, plundering the pockets of men like T Rump. I think we all became Randians that week, contemplating the gross overreach of federal interference into the personal fortunes of these financial colossi.

Aren't you glad that T Rump not only possesses such magnificence, but that he's willing to bring in a professional video crew to show us all its amenities?

13. I don't care that he has 100 million dollar plane.
I just don't want him in politics. Fortunately I don't think he'll really ever run for office he just uses our fucked up political system for media attention and publicity.
