It's almost like they took the script from Iraq and just made a few changes.

1. What are you talking about.
Or are you just having a flash back?

3. This.

<snip>
No one can be sure who controls the Libyan government's weapons stockpiles, a stew of deadly chemicals, raw nuclear material and some 30,000 shoulder-fired rockets that officials fear could fall into terrorists' hands in the chaos of Moammar Gadhafi's downfall or afterward.

One immediate worry, U.S. intelligence and military officials say, is that Gadhafi might use the weapons to make a last stand. But officials also face the troubling prospect that the material, which was left under Gadhafi's control by a U.S.-backed disarmament pact, could be obtained by al-Qaida or other militants even after a rebel victory is secured.

The main stockpile of mustard gas and other chemicals, stored in corroding drums, is at a site southeast of Tripoli. Mustard gas can cause severe blistering and death. A cache of hundreds of tons of raw uranium yellowcake is stored at a small nuclear facility east of the capital.

6. Could also be an excuse to send in American/NATO troops
You know, as a preemptive measure to ensure that the WMD's don't fall into the hands of other bad guys.

15. Unless they plan on sending their entire armed forces they do not
have a large enough military to patrol Libya. It's a nice warm fuzzy to think they will but reality will say different.

10. The rebels said if American troops land (occupying forces) they will fight them.
This is well known from the start that they have refused any troops on the ground outside of a logistical or intelligence capacity (ie, occupation forces).

13. All of this has been known for years since they ended
their nuclear weapons program. As part of deal of getting off terrorist list they opened their sites for inspection. We have most of the bad stuff here and what we didn't take was known then. We are not suddenly hearing all of this new information which is the way of most set ups.

They have been monitoring the known sites closely for any unusual activity. That seems like a good idea. Chaotic times raise concern.
If we were NOT concerned we would be fools. There really are bad guys who would like to get bad things to do bad stuff.

7. CIA Psyops is making up for the goof about capturing the son.
It's been 10 years now, about the time when it's safe to use an old scam again. This whole clusterfuck will have a stench that will last at least another 10 years, have you had a look at these "rebel" idiots?

12. TNC head came out and said that was a rumor he never confirmed but let live...
...in order to use it as propaganda (got 11 recognitions by the international community and Tripoli fell quickly since Gaddafi's brigades surrendered).
