Virginia's Earthquake History

It seems that a lot of people think that Virginia is an earthquake-free area. It is not. Earthquakes there are infrequent but many have been recorded. Here's a USGS summary of earthquake activity in that state since the early 1800s. It's an interesting read, and it's clear that the region is capable of earthquake activity:

I'm posting this information just so people can get actual facts about the seismic history of the area where the 5.8 earthquake occurred..

But it seems he just doesn't have the heft to push tectonic shift.
