Kudos to the governors and Mayors all along the Eastern Seaboard
I was just listening to Mayor Bloomberg's update of the situation in NY. In one minor detail in all the other things that happened I'm impressed that in two days the city evacuated 9,000 senior citizens out of Senior homes alone. And I'm hearing about all the non-profit organizations and health centers who mobilized and worked with the local governments to assure people had shelters to go to.
2. I can't help thinking a lot of people are disappointed it isn't far worse
and their disappointment lies in the positive outcome of this storm.
I think it's great that normally antagonistic organizations can pull together in the face of real danger to our citizens. It's inspiring to watch so, yeah, I'm happy there's been wall to wall coverage. It's been a very long time since I felt good about Americans and this country. It feels good to feel good.
