Too bad it took this hurricane tragedy for some Republicans to learn the lesson
It's so much easier when the rich and powerful don't have to take it in the shorts. But now that Christie has to face a mean hurt up front and personal in cinerama, living color and dolby sound - he has no choice but be a man of the people of New Jersey and fight his party in the name of sanity.
I'm sure Cantor doesn't relish the idea of Christie sitting on his chest. But I'm glad that he was stupid enough to jump the shark. We all know what that means.
1. P.S. Has anyone read or heard Rush Limabaugh criticize Christie over his harsh words?
I've searched at Google but haven't found a peep.
No other Republican has been able to cross right wing ideology. But it's curious that Rush hasn't gone after the governor for lashing out over savings coinciding with disaster aid after the hurricane.
But Rush is only one man with a limited amount of time and brain cells. I would guess that Limbaugh has gauged Christie to be a self-correcting asshole who will return to the fold without scolding. Christie may have inoculated himself by prominently mentioning that offsetting cuts could be decided on "later" after the relief money is bestowed.
