From another perspective. Obama retains almost ALL his political capital.
His conciliatory tone and tattered olive branch give the impression, if not for real that Obama spends nothing. Any fight he enjoins, he has all his marbles. In addition, he has all of us bellyaching, which functions the same as the tea party.

While it may seem he gets nothing, the reality is, he gets plenty done.

And, our bellyaching for a bruisin', contrasts greatly with no drama Obama. Making him even more considered the adult in the room.

I say we all keep on hammering him to act boldly. It is working properly. Providing cover for Obama, and moving the debate some.

I challenge anyone to tell me where Obama can be considered to have spent one thin dime of political capital.

would answer differently than baggers. I too hate that Obama found the dog shit bag on his porch in flames when he moved into 1600.

Imagine if Clinton's surplusses had survived the drunken sailor.

4. Probably so.
It was very costly in terms of political capital. If it's gonna cost him anyway, why shouldn't he aim higher, especially for the stimulus and the HCR bill? Looking like you caved costs capital too.
