Cheney: 'Honored to be compared to Darth Vader'
How do you insult a guy that wears it as a badge of honor? Dressed as Darth in the VP mansion?

Talk show radio host Laura Ingraham opened her show this morning with the Darth Vader theme song to introduce former Vice-President Dick Cheney recalling the nickname given to Cheney by the left.

"I always had a soft spot for Darth Vader," said Ingraham as she began her interview, "He was the most interesting person, other than Chewbacca in the Star Wars series. . . c'mon."

"I love the music and Star Wars reference," Cheney responded, "I was honored to be compared to Darth Vader."

Ingraham and Cheney then shared memories of Cheney dressing up as Darth Vader for Halloween one year at the Vice President's mansion.

He actually revels in it.

2. I wonder if plans are being made upon Cheney's death to transform him into
a republican Borg.

No heart beat, artificially kept alive.

7. Yep, damn close to it, isn't he! In one interview he was showing how the pump
works, pulled the battery out to sound an alarm, etc.

3. I think he's more like Voldemort.
Darth Vader was evil but he redeemed himself at the end by killing Palpatine. Voldemort, on the other hand, was always pure evil, start to finish.

8. Yep.
Tom Riddle was always a violent psychopath from his earliest days to his end as Voldemort.

10. Anakin went to the dark side and came back.
Voldemort started out there and never left. Same with Evil Dick.

20. Good point. Tom was a sociopath from birth.
Dumbledore should have seen the warning signs, of course so should have the American people. On a side note, it turns out J.K. Rowling is a big supporter of the Labor Party.

12. Darth Vader served in the wars at least
He didn't take 7 deferments.

Vader was also redeemed at the end.

Cheney just doubled down.

16. Very bad comparison, Darth Vader had a heart and KILLED the emperor
in the end, after all the suffering and death Vader caused - he still have enough spark in his evil body to kill the source of all the misery! CHENEY, OTOH, would NEVER have compassion for another human being - it would require feelings and emotions. Something even Vader had in the end! Not so for Dickless Wonderboy.

19. Oh please. Calling Cheney Darth Vader is totally off the mark.
He is Empower Palpatine. He pulled the strings and Bush(Vader)danced and carried out his will.

21. Go ahead and whine. But while Lord Vader was in office, this Empire was NEVER attacked by terrorists
without somebody's home planet system being atomized in reprisal. Not once.

History will exonerate him.

I'm sure he'd be equally honored by that name. He's a sick man.
