1. Same way they have since 2001.
The real puzzle to me is why do Obama and the Democrats think that it will. I used to believe Democrats were intelligent.

2. Repukes have known since Raygun that all the RWing 'jobs hype' is BULLSHIT!
They KNOW THIS...BUT it works like a charm and why would a criminal change his/her SOPs when they work so well!? You cannot rationally expect a criminal to give up their ways if no one is there to enforce the law!

3. Is there any historical evidence that can be used to illustrate that this theory would work or has
worked in the past?

That's what baffles me....although not perfect, I would think that the New Deal and the government generated economic stimulus that was used when the US entered WWII at least provide some historical evidence how to create jobs...but is there any similar evidence to the contrary, republican view?

4. tax cuts for low income people is pretty good at stimulating
economic activity. Obviously cutting spending is just going to cost jobs. Arguably scrapping even more regulations might increase economic activity, but what sort of economic activity? The kind that pollutes the air and water and land we live on? The kind that produces gigantic fraudulent financial schemes that wreck the global economy?

Once Obama started supporting the Deficit Concern Narrative he ceded the initiative to the Republican half of the plutocracy and is losing the public debate leading up to next year's election. I'm sure he feels all statesmany about it, but whoever counseled him to go this way is an idiot.

If the "problem" is The Big Deficit then the solution (since taxes are off the table) is to fire government workers, reduce government spending, and cut entitlement programs already paid for by the befuddled peasants buying into this horseshit. As you point out, all this will do is cost more jobs.
