Stockholm's Central Station Harvests Body Heat
from GOOD is:

Central Station in Stockholm is the largest train station in Sweden. About 250,000 passengers pass through it each day. All those moving bodies generate a lot of heat, and even in Sweden's chilly climate, it's more than the building needs. So the real estate company that owns the building is using heat exchangers to transfer Central Station's excess heat to water, which is then piped over to heat another building across the street. Apparently the innovation lowers the energy costs of the office block by 25 percent.

This is just yet another reminder that we're surrounded by opportunities to use energy more efficiently. And, of course, it's giving Sweden a head start on a future with more expensive oil and gas.

2. That's marvelous. Do you know if the U.S. has any building that
uses heat exchangers? I've never heard of anything like this. Ingenuous.

4. Imagine the amount of energy that could be tapped and harnessed
By clipping jumper-cable clamps to Flush Windbag's ear lobes, and capturing all of the hot air that he expells each day that he does his radio show.

He likely could power and provide enough thermal energy to heat the buildings of an entire downtown area of a city the size of Buffalo, NY!!

5. During the oil embargo of the 70s
they saw the future and changed to free themselves from oil dependency.
How smart they were and are.
The US chose to become enslaved.
