My my, how the wheel do turn...

Sarah Palin, yesterday, boldly calling for armed insurrection! Calling for aggression and revolution
and watering the Tree of Liberty with the blood of patriots and tyrants, calling for a day of reckoning and blood in the streets!

Wrapped in the flag of America! Mailed in armor bright like some brave little Joan of Arc (by way of Fargo?) A mama bear rearing up to roar at the heavens, a brave Florence Nightingale who can't actually sew, but she can shoot like a Texas Ranger and shop like Wonderman!

Strong. Invincible. Winky. Folksy.
Kinda young, kinda wow. Not real book-smart, but spunky. Sassy. MILFy.

America's wacky but loveable sweetheart, turning the world on with her smile. With charm like that, who knows how high you might climb, how far you might go!

You might just make it after all!

And now the wheel turns, as ever the wheel must... and suddenly:

Lady McPalin, today, protesting, methinks, MUCH too much, to no avail!... the blood won't wash out, no matter how she tries, how she cries, how she denies... using her final public moment with America to cry for herself at someone else's funeral... and now the 15 minute clock has ticked down. All over, all done. Nothing left.

Except a target on your own head now.

One you put there yourself, when you put one on Gabby Giffords' head, on that little map of yours, along with all that rough tough "lock n' load" and "take aim" and "reload" talk that accompanied it.

You did this to yourself.

And now you're complaining that you're getting death threats? Now you're Scarlett, wailing and wringing your hands with the blood-red fingernails?

I know I speak for many when I say, very sincerely, "Frankly, Sarah, we don't give a damn." Nobody gives a damn anymore.

You destroyed your own future. You succeeded in assassinating only yourself.

Gabby Giffords may yet live and heal... who knows?
But you, babydoll... I think that's about it for you.

You're no longer America's sweetheart, hon.
You're nobody's sweetheart. Time to move on.

Actually, if she ever did somehow become prez (hideous
miracles have happened before), we'd all probably end up

Sarah Palin,

It isn't blood liable if it's true.

In the aftermath of this tragedy all you are being asked to do is to consider the possible consequences of your words before you shoot your mouth off.

Is it too much to ask that you think before you speak?

If you didn't know before that this kind of talk could produce these kind of results, you do now. So STOP it. Be an adult and accept personal responsibility for your words as easily as you accept cash payment for your speaking engagements.

Avoiding the appearance of impropriety is an old fashioned value from a different era, but the best among us know without a shadow of a doubt that it's not the same as "Don't get caught" or "Don't let it stick". It means don't do it. Don't have it done for you and don't condone it.

Do not seek to justify your actions. Seek to make your actions just.

Palin's 15 minutes isn't up yet. Her very powerful backers have plans for her -- when she loses in the primaries to, probably Romney, treich wing will threaten her sheeple with "President Obama's second term!" (Much like the apologists threaten the left with "President Palin!" Never happen but it sounds good.)

.. and most of all TOO TRUE!

Seriously, though, it has a great pace. Brisk and bustling with purpose. Kinda like you've got one hand on the back of Sarah's collar and the other on the seat of her pants, and you're all set to rush the bum out the door, back to home where she can be Trig happy all day long.
