2. Fail. Chart is cut - you only see last eight quarters. see this -
Look at this one - same, just showing a larger history -
http://www.epi.org/publication/corporate_profits_have_recovered_but_job_market_still_depressed/

See the huge drop in corporate profits?
There was no similar job drop.
Point being do you really want to match corporate rises in profit?
Okay - but then you would have to share the losses - in this case, going by the chart, unemployment would jump over 20% at times.

This is simple to understand.
The 8 quarter graph would fool anyone who doesn't understand that this same graph, opened up over another year or two, has a history of corporate profits doing a freefall while jobs dropped only slightly.

furthermore, I would question anyone who uses this 8 quarter graph - why not 12-16? Why cut off the period in 2008 when corporate profits plummeted and jobs lost were very small?
It's a 'gotcha' tactic.
But in truth, complete bullshit.

jobs have not budged.

We're still below where we were under Bush.

And Bush's reign was net job LOSS.

Not to mention that median household income has been dropping since 2000, and that the percent of working-age adults living in poverty is at the highest level since they started tracking it in 1966.

Fuck corporate profits.

6. Sorry but if you look at your graph the major point is that corporate profits are above what they

were in 2007 Q4 by 5.7% and yet jobs are 5.9% lower than Q4 2007. Thats really fucked up in a major way and it's amazing you missed that point. I don't think anyone expects the line showing jobs to go up at the same rate as corporate profits. The point is that jobs are completely flat lined through 8 Quarters as corporate profits have skyrocketed. Actually your graph is even more devastating to the ethics of corporations if it's examined the right way.
