1. Subtlety is not my style, I like being explicit.
So let me point out that the purple square on the left of the first picture shows the income of the top 1 percent (red line) during the GREAT DEPRESSION vs the rest (blue line). History does indeed rhyme, does it not???

3. It's deja vu all over again.
But I'm sure that if the US plunges into a Great Depression again, and takes the rest of the world economy with it again, THIS TIME there won't be a massive war against a powerful foreign nation led by a madman elected by desperate people.

4. Disagree.
You don't think the rest of the world would come together to depose Rick Perry after he starts letting states secede; invades Mexico, Cuba and Miquelon; assassinating US and Canadian liberal politicians and activists as communist infiltrators; imposing a national Christian-identity movement; and sets up "residential educational facilities" for atheists, gays, Jews, liberals, socialists, anti-death-penalty activists, college-graduates, educators,...?

That's disappointing. The resistance might be for naught.

I'll be organizing resistance forces anyways. We'll be speaking French because they won't be able to translate it, no conservative would admit knowing Cheese-eating-surrender-monkey-speak-talk-thing (a.k.a. French) because they'd end up in the "residential educational facilities" for it.

5. There was a bit of sarcasm there in my post.
:D

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go polish my copy of "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and tweet in double-speak.

6. Hey, I like that part about French.
That's a pretty damn good reason for learning it, a language conservatives are sure not to understand!! :)

But as far as the world being angry about Perry letting states secede, I think you got it wrong. The world would welcome Washington nation, lead by prez. Gregoire. Although as of tonight, I'm not sure the feeling would be shared for the Nation of New* Georgia.

* not to be confused with current nation of Georgia in the Caucasus.
