Jay Z: President Obama still "the best man for the job"

Hip-hop superstar Jay Z has offered up his support to boost U.S. President Barack Obama's re-election campaign . . .

The rapper says, "I still think he is the best man for the job, so yes (I will campaign for him). I think he got a raw deal and he got a really tough economy. It's going to test his mettle, which is great. You don't get anything that you can't handle. So he must be really special because he got (sic) a lot of work to do."

1. Hells yes. Not jumping on the I-hate-Obama bandwagon, which seems to be harder for people these days

2. it's going to be a challenge to enthuse voters with the same fervor
. . . that the 'haters' are able to ratchet up. It's good to see this fellow willing to help energize and organize the youth vote to help bring them out on election day.

4. I don't object to hate for his 'right-wing policies'
I just object to any myopic focus on them to the exclusion of credit offered for his 'left-wing' successes during his presidency.

7. Ahead in the polls
I'm seeing too much gloom and doom. Are people ignoring the fact that Obama is ahead? He's a front runner right now and people are acting like he doesn't have a chance next November. Remember, if the elections were held today, Obama would beat any Repub candidate out there.
