Lawrence O'Donnell blew it.
He was giving Herman Cain all this third degree on where Cain was during the civil rights battles during the 60's, and never mentioned a *REAL* issue involving Cain.

Namely, Cain saying towns can ban mosques if they want to.

Cain is a religious bigot, yet O'Donnell never brought that up.

1. Having looked through many of the nearly 7000 comments on HuffPO
the majority think LO really did a great job. See for yourself.

2. i think O'Donnell damaged cain by bringing up
the civil rights issues. goldie taylor said if it wasn't for the civil rights movement herman cain would be delivering pizzas.

4. I agree
Cain, like Condie Rice, were content to sit on the sidelines and let others sacrifice their bodies and lives.

And they were quick to reap the benefits when civil rights became law.

Fuck him.

3. Disagree
He made a great point when he asked about Cain accusing the Democrats of brainwashing 80% of the American public.

7. Cain was just an ass
He kept trying to deflect questions by telling O'Donnell he shouldn't be asking that question. Then he went off on a tangent about having a sick relative and that's "perhaps" the reason he wasn't part of the Civil Rights movement. Yet he didn't have a sick relative.

Complete asshole.

8. I wonder how many americans agree with cain on that. sadly, I'd bet a large number.
I'd like to see a poll on how many look askance at muslims

what would also be of interest is to see if there's a poll on this that existed pre-911
