Know of any corporations that are upsizing?
If I remember correctly, downsizing was partly about corporations doing away with lots of jobs and expecting the employees that were left to work harder to pick up the slack, in some cases doing the work of several former employees.

Now sitting on a couple trillion dollars, wouldn't this be a good time for corporations to reverse that trend?

1. CCA is
America’s Leader
in Partnership Corrections

Our company – the first of its kind – was founded in 1983. Our approach to public-private partnership in corrections combines the cost savings and innovation of business with the strict guidelines and consistent oversight of government. This has produced proven results for more than a quarter-century.

2. Top 10 Companies Hiring Most Now
The U.S. may not have added jobs in August, leaving the unemployment rate unchanged at 9.1 percent, but there are companies that are hiring. Online career site CareerBuilder.com released a list of the top 10 companies taking on new employees in the U.S. and the world, drawn on data collected within the past two weeks.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/business/2011/09/top-10-companies-hiring-most-now/

This is a month old, but sites like careerbuilder.com, dice.com, monster.com etc., publish report on the companies and job categories that are in demand.

3. There's a few expanding:

Though its worth adding to anything on this topic - economists predict that Obama's jobs bill would create 2 million plus new jobs...if congress would get around to passing it. It seems that jobs aren't a big concern up there.

4. I would humbly suggest that corp leaders look out their
windows at OWS, and start hiring and paying decent wages....

or it is just going to get worse.

Yeah, I'll be over here when you're done with your usual defending of Friedman laissez-FAILURE and are ready to talk seriously.

8. Our company is hiring......
temporary workers with no benefits nor vacations.

They're trying to force out the workers that have been there for 5, 10, 15, 20+ years.

Lovely eh?
