This thread inspired me: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=439&topic_id=2065253

If you ask, what have I done? I've sent them some money.

1. First, they need to put something on the table that lends itself to rational exchange of ideas.

5. The second link you provided is inconsequential...
And this verbiage from the first link is the nearest I could come to identifying something specific.

...we the people start getting what we want whether it be the dismantling of half the 1,000 military bases America has around the world to the reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act or a three strikes and you're out law for corporate criminals. Beginning from one simple demand ? a presidential commission to separate money from politics ? we start setting the agenda for a new America.

Okay, let's break it down.

? dismantling of half the 1,000 military bases America has around the world

Specifically, which half? And does dismantling mean removing each and every component and returning the tracts of land to the condition that existed prior to our arrival?

? reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act

Specifically, that would require the repeal of Gramm?Leach?Bliley Act. Why not simply propose to do just that?

? three strikes and you're out law for corporate criminals.

I would urge these folks to review the Bernie Madoff case; which actually resulted in a one-strike and you are out for a corporate criminal.

? Beginning from one simple demand ? a presidential commission to separate money from politics.

Well then, where is their proposal calling for the repeal of the First Amendment? For that would be required to effect what the are advocating.

4. Thats interesting because...
The media interviews people who say why they are there, then follows it up with this statement:

It's not very clear what the demands of the protesters are. You hear that on every network, every time they show the protest.

Either none of the reporters are listening or they have been directed to use such a statement to make the rest of the country think they are not "very organized."

Cash in the bucket at Liberty Square / Liberty Park / Zuccotti Park is great, too!

Thank you.

-- That site at nycga.cc is not Occupy Wall Street.
