Apology issued to dad questioned for taking pictures of daughter

Paisley - A shopping centre in the west of Scotland has issued an apology to a man after contacting the police because he was taking pictures of his daughter eating ice cream.

Chris White was out at Braehead Shopping Centre, near Paisley, near Glasgow with his four-year old daughter Hazel. While Hazel ate some ice cream Mr White took a couple of pictures of her and posted them to his Facebook account.

It was then that Mr White claims he was approached by a security guard who told him that the pictures were taken illegally and asked Mr White to delete them.

The security guard then contacted the police who came to speak with Mr White telling him that there were signs in the centre saying that no photography was allowed. Mr White explained that he had made the effort to make sure the only person in the pictures was his daughter.

1. Good.
There's nothing wrong with, say, a rule against deliberately taking photos of other nonconsenting people in a public place. But this here is simply taking it to asinine levels.

3. I wouldn't even go that far.
If you're in public, and someone wants to take a picture of you, more power to them. You do have legal recourse if they want to use it commercially, but if they're just a hobby photographer, you shouldn't have a right to shut them down.

2. Ok. WHy don't we all just resign ourselves to picking out a corporate ass to kiss each day.
Seriously. Forget the protests. Let's just all chase the assholes around the planet each day for a kiss on their arse's and thank them profusely for being allowed to fucking breathe.
