Is this an occupation or what?
I've read two threads in the last few minutes, one concerning OWS and the cleaning of Zuccatti Park, and the other concerning Occupy Dallas and their portapotty permit.

My question is, are these protesters occupiers or campers? Occupiers don't leave so a park can be cleaned up. Occupiers don't give a shit about permits or portapotties. I'm not advocating violence, but I am saying that an occupation means breaking some permit laws and peeing in the bushes. It also means you don't leave when the city says they have to mow the grass that you're occupying.

1. There's no such rule(s). Smart occupiers will work WITH the city employees, let them clean...
...then move back in.

If they pee in the bushes, as you suggest, it plays right into the RW radio meme that we are pigs.

We should not do it that way.

2. Frankly, fuck the rw radio machine...if we cared less about what they say...
The entire country wouldmbe better off..I think half of the problem with the current President is that he worries too much about what their spin is going to be.

3. Common decency and the golden rule tell us to be clean, courteous to workers.
Being filthy and argumentative and disrespectful of the public property and employees just isn't respectable.

And I see no way on Earth, no reasonable argument, that is will help our cause.

None, nada.

We can make more progress being clean, articulate, respectful.

5. Until you lose the parks....that is how they win...
You really think when everyone is ordered out of Zuccatti, that there just going to let them back in?
