JimRob is addressing the argument that, even if they can't get a true-blue 100% rock-solid conservative, whose policies are strictly from 1850, the Freepers should still vote for a Republican nominee who's 80% of the way there. Conservatives in that camp are the mirror image of those of us who voted for Obama despite his rejection of single payer, his call for expanded imperialistic efforts in Afghanistan, and other flaws.

Some of the Naderites here should really set up FR accounts. You could use all your old arguments (the major parties are fundamentally indistinguishable, one should vote for the best candidate regardless of chance of winning, etc.), with a little right-wing window dressing to fool the Freepers. (I mean, how hard can that be?) We should encourage the idea that True Conservatives must reject leftists like Romney and should vote for the Constitution Party or something.
