DU's Marla Kitteh Says...
On one-month anniversary of Occupy Wall Street...

My daddy found me as a kitten standing on the side of the road in the middle of the night. He pays all my preventative medical bills, and those of my brothers and sisters who were also rescued, despite no longer having coverage for himself and having a chronic condition. Vet bills have soared over the past decade.

The Tweet that started it all: https://twitter.com/#!/OccupyWallStNYC/statuses/91885825939349505

Support Occupy Wall Street. Accountability, Regulation, True Reform, No New Gilded Age. Stay Calm, Occupy On.

20. She has Siamese in her background (mask and eyes are a giveaway)
Part Siamese cats seem to come out two ways: gorgeous and ... uh, not so much. She's an example of the first case. (They're all smart and adorable cats, though.)

22. I bet she's both very smart and a little bad
Siamese/Siamese out crosses are scary-smart cats, and smart cat is a bad cat. Also some of the most delightful cats I've ever met. True, I pretty much like any cat pretty well, but there's something about those blue-eyed monsters. :)

16. Just Too Adorable & Really Makes A GREAT Statement! Would LOVE To
make a poster out of it for our next Rally, but it would be difficult given my lack of "techy" attributes.

Too Sweet!

17. Grab the image, stick in on a hard drive and a local printer should be able to make a larger copy
for you easily. Then just glue it to some Foamcore or cardboard. How much it cost would depend.

18. Thanks, I Did Copy The Picture To My Documents. I Can Print It Out
but I wonder if the picture will fade when it gets blown up. I've seen it happen before. I liked a poster & what it said recently and printed it out, but the print version didn't look very clean. And yes, I do realize that it depends on the printer and/or paper. I don't use re-manufactured ink because I was advised against it because some of it just isn't that good and you never know.

Anyway, I ended up making a poster of my own, but it was only words. I can't draw that cat!! HA! And I like the saying underneath it too... that I can do!

27. Oh! Gorgeous kitty and how lucky she is to have you, Hissyspit.
All our cats, too, over the years have all been abandoned strays that have adopted us.
And vet care sure as heck is NOT cheap, as you say, and while we've never ever regretted doing without something else less critical when those times came, no one should have to be without affordable health care or to be sacked with mounds of unbearable human medical debt without it. Rich people don't have to think about affordability of humane health care. For themselves, for their pet families.
