Another jewel from Cain (from RedState):
"He helped the poor without one government program. He healed the sick without a government health care system. He feed the hungry without food stamps. And everywhere He went, it turned into a rally, attracting large crowds, and giving them hope, encouragement and inspiration.

For three years He was unemployed, and never collected an unemployment check. Nevertheless, he completed all the work He needed to get done. He didn’t travel by private jet. He walked and sailed, and sometimes traveled on a donkey.

But they made Him walk when He was arrested and taken to jail, and no, He was not read any Miranda Rights. He was arrested for just being who He was and doing nothing wrong. And when they tried Him in court, He never said a mumbling word.

He didn’t have a lawyer, nor did He care about who judged Him. His judge was a higher power.

The liberal court found Him guilty of false offences and sentenced Him to death, all because He changed the hearts and minds of men with an army of 12."

I'm no expert on or big fan of institutionalized religion, but this is beyond the pale.

4. "The liberal court"? Come again?
Not to mention the government was a puppet monarchy of the ruling Roman occupiers. NOT a democracy. And, therefore, certainly not liberal in any sense.

6. Uh, he lived on handouts.
According to the gospels, the split with Judas came because of some costly donated oil that was used to anoint him (hence Christ, the anointed one) instead of selling it and using the money for the poor. Judas was so pissed off that he sold JC to the Romans for a tenth of the value of the oil.

9. Also, (FWIW), I should have posted Cain's title to this excerpt:
"The Perfect Conservative"

The inner (non)workings of Cain's brain on display. What a maroon, no? :)

Fuck... how idiots can begin to compare the life and struggles of, and viability of government assistance for their GOD INCARNATE to the state of modern humans is simply... astounding. That they may try to find any higher meaning or significance in it is beyond belief. That the author/dolt would think that Pontius Pilate, governor of Roman-occupied Judea, and the Pharisees somehow constituted a "liberal court" is somewhere between offensive and outright retarded.

IIRC, according to the story, the "they" who got Big J in legal trouble was the established priesthood of the time -- i.e., RELIGIOUS CONSERVATIVES. Anyone who bothered to understand the gospels knows that Jesus was preaching things which ran afoul of the local version of RELIGIOUS FUNDAMENTALISM and did stuff which enraged those who were getting rich off the status quo without a shred of responsibility to the common people they trampled underfoot -- i.e., the FISCAL CONSERVATIVES.

So where's the Big J now? Not like there are fewer poor, sick and hungry now then there were back in those days; seems like they could use some government assistance -- or at least another miracle or three.

13. Christians believe that Christ performed miracles -- i.e., did IMPOSSIBLE things.
Edited on Mon Oct-17-11 04:07 AM by pnwmom
That's how he healed the sick, fed the hungry, etc. And he could do those impossible things because he was God.

So what is Cain saying? That he's going to perform miracles, too? That he is God? That all conservatives are God?

I'm confused.

I thought Cain was human. And I know he's not God. So what is he then?

15. The Sanhedrin were the epitome of 21st century liberals
And of course it's well known they were all atheists, communists, and probably illegal immigrant Mexicans as well.

Seriously, the Sanhedrin were LIBERALS?! Then I guess the Roman occupation government was anti-imperialist anarchist. That would make as much sense.

16. Christ hung out with lepers and prostitutes
Helped the poor by preaching that all should share equally (rich and poor).

Was a social radical who threw the moneychangers out, and died among common criminals.

21. What a sad man Cain really is.
Jesus did do all of those things of course - but I don't see how Pontus Pilate was a "liberal".

He was no more liberal then Caesar, good Lord...
