That highlights the differences between activists and Democratic Party insiders seeking to recall Republican officials in the coming months. While all of them agree on targeting Walker, there's still disagreement between groups on whether to target lesser GOP officials such as Kleefisch or lawmakers.
Walker is facing possible recall from unions, Democrats and activists such as Brown who are angry about the governor's policies, including his legislation repealing most union bargaining for most public employees. Both Democrats and Republicans are considering recall efforts against state senators of the opposing party for their stances on Walker's union legislation.
Those efforts have at least the potential to shift control of state government out of the exclusive hands of Republicans, who control both houses of the Legislature and the governor's office. After an earlier round of Senate recalls last summer, Republicans control the state Senate by a thin 17-16 margin.
Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) said that another round of
recalls of state senators would disrupt the Legislature's work and make it difficult for lawmakers to campaign and raise the necessary resources for the regular elections in November 2012.

So, at least according to Scott Fitzgerald, the recalls are working! (emphasis mine)
