Read an article about Steve Jobs
his interactions with Obama and other administration officials, the health decisions he has made and other stuff he said and frankly. he was an egotistical asshole and really, his death means one less voice to denigrate workers, teachers, the environment, etc. Sure he had some good ideas when it came to design but I'm sure glad his other ideas didn't stick in regards to education etc.

He is a good case of separate the "art" from the artist.
disclosure: I use a Mac and an Iphone

3. I don't think it's ever been up for debate that Steve Jobs was an egotistical
ass and that he was brutal to employees in the search for perfection.

As for his health decisions, he had pancreatic cancer. No one gets out of that alive, ever. So if he made some decisions to try and prolong his life that weren't in line with your expectations, well that was his business. Desperation and all...he was still a person who wanted to see his kids graduate high school. I don't begrudge anyone doing what ever they can in that situation.

Personally I've always been a mac fan and user. But i've never felt any need to identify with or approve of Steve Jobs to justify using the equipment that best served my needs. We were fortunate to have the end results of his vision in the products. Imagine if there were no Steve Jobs, only a bill gates...
