1. Episode III should've been re-written.

I would've added in a scene in the Republic's grand library where you can view the original Founding Documents that forged the Republic being held on display for all to read. As Palpatine sends his loyalist troops to snuff out the remaining elements in the government opposed to him, a fire fight erupts in the library itself and is quickly overrun. The last scene of the library is of the Founding Documents burning away in the fire engulfing the library.

2. Yeah

Star Wars, my favorite subject. The dissolve the senate and give regional governors direct power over their systems/planets. The threat of violence is enough to keep the star systems in line. However, as is revealed through the amazing use of plot development, settings, and even wardrobe choices...the power of the human spirit triumphs over the synthetic, mechanical evil that is the empire.
