I can't believe this is America......surreal doesn't begin to cover it...

You're right it's completely surreal but... it's not really all that surprising. Ask any poor person, any black person (especially younger males), any white guy with long hair, or any number of other groups considered "undesirable" by the PTB and they will tell you that it's always been this way. If you threaten the status quo, or even make them vaguely uncomfortable you will be targetted and the issue addressed. They don't care about you; they merely tolerate you, at least until they don't. The police follow the orders of the politicians, and they follow the orders of those who paid for the seat they occupy.

Most people who believe themselves upstanding members of society don't seem to realize this. They think America is this great society we all share in but it isn't. It's a private, tight-knit little club (Carlin had that bit right) that you don't belong to. They don't give a damn about you, or any of your high-minded theories about what America represents. They put up with you, and just barely. Give them a reason, any reason at all and they will destroy you. It doesn't have to be right, it sure doesn't have to be legal. They don't care. They have the power and you don't and that's the way the world works, in their mind.

Truly. Where are their minds when they do this to their own people?

Please tell me how she was being a threat. Please tell me how anyone peacefully protesting is a threat. The woman could have suffocated had they not come for her.

For the record we have, a kid with ms we used to play wargames regularly with was in one. He died a few years back. RIP.
