The GOP insanity is mind numbing. On Al Sharpton's show Michael Steele said
that the poor and middle class were moving up into the one percent. He also said this after saying his ideas were economics 101.
Steele obviously doesn't understand simple math. If the some of the 99% were moving up into the 1% bracket the 1% would have to increase to
2%, 3% or 'whatever' %. Steele is annoying and not very smart.

3. They really, really are.
I don't know if this person was kidding or not (I surely hope so), but since he's a Fox/Limbaugh person, I'm not so sure...but he just said if you listen to CNN (evil librul mouthpiece, of course :eyes:) you'd think everything is falling apart, "but I can get great Egyptian cotton sheets at Wal-Mart for $50!".

:wow:

2. Sure they are!
See, if you just expand the income threshold of the 1% from, say, a million dollars a year down to about $20,000 a year, we're all one percenters! Whoo hoo, I'm rich! Rich, I tells ya! And it's all thanks to Republican policies! I gotta go change my voter registration. Thank you, Michael Steele.

however, more of the middle class lost ground than gained ground.

11. Al set the table perfectly on that.
He starts out with a graphic comparing Bush and Clinton on tax policy. Clinton raised taxes and we got 23MM jobs. Bush cut taxes and barely kept up with population growth. After that graphic, Steele was left to explain why anyone would think taxcuts creates jobs. Predictably, he couldn't. He was trying to say lots of middle class people move up to the 1%...but that really couldn't happen unless others in the 1% fell out of the club. I doubt Steele really believes this bullshit, but he's paid to promote Republicanism and we all know that has no linkage with reality.

15. When you're carrying water for wealthy interests....
and getting paid handsomely to say stupid irrational shit that serves said wealthy interests, you're going to say stupid irrational shit, no matter how stupid and irrational it is.

The GOP has completely lost any remnants of a moral compass they may have ever possessed.
