I sure do wish the Gov't would police Wall Street as effectively as they police the Occupy movement.

I sure do wish the Gov't would police Wall Street as effectively as they police the Occupy movement.
Wouldn't it be nice to have swarms of SEC agents surrounding stock and commodities traders 24/7? Wandering through offices, brutalizing them for the slightest fuckup on a transaction sheet, and employing tear gas anytime the traders get too pushy at being monitored?

Ah, we can all dream, can't we?

1. No kidding.
Heck, a good crack on the knuckles with a ruler would be a step up.

3. Alter the Patriot Act for increased policing of economic terrorism, and decreased "other" terrorism.
After all, without the financial terrorism, the typical terrorism would start to disappear.

I got this off of Max Keiser on his resonancefm show this morning.

And by the way, Max predicted the OWS type of protests two years ago.

4. Frankly, we'd be in far better shape...
...if we ignored Al Qaeda and focused ten Army and Marine divisions on traders and brokers.

Also quite frankly, if Al Qaeda wanted to really destroy us, they'd get MBAs and become financial wizards, rather than run around with bombs strapped to suicide bombers.

Hmmm...

5. I've been saying that for years. Send the Army and Marines to invade America.
Then we can spend trillions 'rebuilding' our own country. Maybe we'll actually have nice bridges that don't fall down and new schools and that sort of thing.

6. "The Govt" is not uniform...
The NYC Government doesn't have jurisdiction over "Wall Street"

7. Nonetheless, I wish that the levels of enforcement were similiar.
New York State has some level of jurisdiction; that's why Governor Spitzer was persecuted.

11. How am I "siding" with them?
I stated something factual. The NYC Police Department is responsible for enforcing the laws of the City of New York, most of them enacted by Democratic lawmakers voted into office by Democratic voters.

I work for the Government. I deal with many other GOvernment agencies that don't carry out their duties responsibly. If I used that at the basis for not carrying out mine, my career would be pretty short.

Add to that, I'd really prefer to not have conservatives decide they didn't need to enforce laws on the books when they didn't feel like it.
