Brothers and Sisters,
Ohio workers have lost some of their most basic rights under Senate Bill 5, including their right to collectively bargain.
SB 5, like Scott Walker’s union-busting bill, is part of Wall Street’s strategy to chip away at collective bargaining rights, state by state, piece by piece, until unions are weakened and any checks on corporate power are destroyed.
Can you take ten minutes to call Ohio voters and urge them to vote NO on Issue 2/SB5 on November 8? You can make calls from the comfort of your home. All you need is a phone and an internet connection. Click here to get started.
Once you create an account, click on the “call now” button to get a list of 10 Ohio voters to contact. You will be given a script with information on the issue.
As working people in Wisconsin, we have stood together in solidarity to fight against undemocratic attacks on union rights. Workers across the country have stood with us. Now is our time to lend our support to our brothers and sisters in Ohio.
Early voting is going on in Ohio right now. Don’t wait until Election Day to call voters! Call now through Election Day, Tuesday, November 8.
Grab your phone and click here to get a list of Ohio voters and their phone numbers. Give them a call and make sure they vote to repeal SB 5 by voting NO on Issue 2.
In Solidarity,
Phil Neuenfeldt, President,
Secretary-Treasurer, Stephanie Bloomingdale
P.S. Next Tuesday, November 8, there will be a special election in La Crosse. Democrat Jill Billings will look to succeed now Senator Jen Shilling. If you live in the 95th Assembly District we encourage you to get out, vote and have your voice heard.
