There is also a short video at the link which shows the galley with the police.

...snip......
According to a post on Rep. Mark Pocan's (D-Madison) Facebook page, "Tonight alone people have been arrested for holding pictures of an apple pie, Ronald Reagan, Jesus, the American flag, Mother Theresa, and a 12-year-old little girl had her notebook taken away with flower doodles. Now I know those are all highly revolutionary, and they could cause problems, but that's what's happened so far tonight."
The photo accompanying this article shows Pocan alongside the girl and Rep. Andy Jorgensen (D-Fort Atkinson) after events took place.
Activists have been facing arrest for holding signs and attempting to film from the gallery for the last several months, but efforts were ramped up recently after Wisconsin's new concealed carry law took effect. The Republican-led Assembly voted to allow concealed weapons into the gallery (the Senate did not), but a motion introduced last week by Pocan to allow cameras and signs fell short, 35-57.
On Tuesday alone 18 arrests were made in the Assembly gallery, including that of Progressive editor Matthew Rothschild. Video below shows his arrest and that of several others:
Rothschild has since written about his experience here.
