There is no such thing as unregulated capitalism.
The limited liability corporation is a form of regulation (legal protection). Likewise patent law, or contract law. Laws criminalizing certain kinds of striking are regulations. There may be some libertarian theorists who imagine something different but business leaders consistently push for government interference, just as long as it's in their favor. When they say they are opposed to regulation, they only mean certain kinds of regulation.

Also, capitalists have a strong track record of undoing regulation that provides for the public good but limits their ability to control markets and make the highest possible short term gains.

Capitalism is a dangerous way to organize ourselves economically.

1. Undoing the New Deal regulations creates a capitalism which is basically organized crime -- !!
However, generally agree with what you are saying --

especially that capitalism is an evil and the very opposite of democracy --

If we truly want democracy then we need economic democracy and capitalism ain't it!!

11. Yep
And this purist version that libertarians and others espouses exists only in their minds, and on paper. It cannot be applied to the reality of where we are now. There is no blank slate.
