Texas Gun Instructor’s Ad Leads to State Inquiry-Would not teach Muslims or Obama voters
MASON, Tex. — Crockett Keller, a weapons instructor who runs a general store in this small town in Central Texas, needed a few more students for a recent concealed-handgun course. He decided to put an ad on a local country music radio station, but his attempt to prohibit certain students from signing up has jeopardized his state-certified status and earned him praise, condemnation and even death threats from people around the world.

The 68-second ad, which has stopped running but has since been posted on YouTube, ends with an anti-Muslim, anti-liberal and anti-Obama-voter message.

“If you are a socialist liberal and/or voted for the current campaigner-in-chief, please do not take this class,” Mr. Keller said in the ad. “You’ve already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as required under the law. Also, if you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you the class. Once again, with no shame, I am Crockett Keller.”

Mr. Keller, 65, said that the ad was not a publicity stunt and that he stood by his remarks. In an interview outside his cabin behind the store on Thursday, he equated giving Muslims handgun training with providing flight instruction to the hijackers responsible for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Texas should pull this asshat's instructor's certification.

They use to let people refuse to serve African Americans in the South. Let's go back 50 or 60 years to the good old days of bigotry and prejudice, it sure was fun back then!

You ever here of something called civil rights?

I use to know a guy who had a hamburger stand and he wouldn't sell to anyone who couldn't speak English. The fool turned down profit because of his stupid bigoted thinking!

5. AKA: Bigoted nobody makes bigoted comment in hopes of being a bigoted Somebody.
BTW, people should read the full article- reporter recounts Keller apparently preparing to shoot him (the reporter) if he didn't pass Keller's "sniff test".

Mr. Keller, wearing a wide-brimmed cowboy hat and standing outside the truck parked behind his store, reached for the butt of the holstered gun he had been carrying in his hands as this reporter approached him. He said he had received death threats from callers and had been in contact with the Mason County Sheriff’s Department. “As you saw, I had my hand on my gun, and while I was doing that I was looking to see if you were armed,” he said.

I rest my case.

6. Maybe I should call ol' Crockett...

And tell him "Hi, I Keep, I Bear, I Vote, and I'm a LIBERAL!" then see if his skull explodes while his brain shorts-out from trying to process that info.

There was a LTTE in last month's "Guns and Ammo" that pretty much said you can't support the 2nd amendment and vote Democratic, and the editorial policy of their monthly screed from the NRA "wasn't conservative ENOUGH".

It's hard, enjoying the shooting sports when you're not a Teabagging asshole...

7. You Got That Right.
I walked away from the shooting sports years ago because of the rancid, hyper-conservative company I had to keep; this asshole is a prime example.

It's all additionally sad for me, because back in my hunting days I had a deer lease near the town of Mason. It's a fine little Hill Country place, and douchebags like Crockett are a small minority of the population.....

8. WTF? I don't own a gun so I don't follow the laws but is it not true
that gun laws have actually been loosened while Obama has been in office? Do gun owners not have the right to carry weapons in more places than ever? State Parks for example.

9. The only tightened restriction I'm aware of
is the Obama administration throwing the chocks to a plan to allow South Korea to sell something like 80,000 Korean-war era M-1 Garand rifles to buyers in the US.
They claimed they didn't want them falling into the "wrong" hands.

Oh, yeah, Gangbangas are just sprouting wood over the prospect of rolling dirty with a 9-pound, 40-odd inch long 8-shot rifle that won't do full auto...
