Why we cannot underestimate Cain or Perry
Ok, let's get this out of the way..it is unlikely either of these clowns will be the GOP candidate, and if they were, it would be the best gift we could have, as they would lose lose lose.

So, why am I still worried?

Simple, Romney knows he will need to throw the Tea party some meat. If he was to pick Huntsman, a fellow center-right Mormon, Dixie would be LIVID! No way the power brokers in Tampa will let that happen...so, who does he pick, either Cain or Perry.

Now the fun begins, as Romney will, like Obama, be trying to woo the Right wing congress, who will drag him along even HARDER then they do Obama, because they will feel that Romney owes them the moon for being allowed to gnaw their table scraps. In comes the VP, who will have Cheney on speed dial. We will see the VP have influence, because he is the link to the faithful. Romney will become dependent on him, which means he will go even farther to the right.

And let's not get into the idea that certain covert types can easily arrange that Mormon to get a heart attack, the sort they cannot fix, unlike Cheney. The GOP will clamor that God had freed them from Barack and "that Mormon from Tax a Choo sets!" If that happens, bring on the four horsemen of of the apocolypse!

1. At this point in time neither matter
Let the republicans sort themselves out, let them point fingers, let them dig up the dirt
and sit back and relax.
We only have to work against one of them.
Let them weaken each other and it will be harder for them to pick up the pieces
and then we can save all the dirt for the one that emerges from the cesspool of the republican party

3. Nice thought
But the sad fact is, there will be many working to help romney win, including sadly, members of the democrats who think that ditching Obama will somehow make this country more left. The MSM will be out on force.

8. Romney may well be the candidate
all I am saying is let the republicans spend their energy and money
bashing each other instead of democrats spending energy before the convention

Huntsman is the most sane but the republicans do not like sanity

I would rather spend my time right now making sure Obama holds to democratic principles

I want bachman and paul to spend a lot of time and money right now
so they do not have time to form a platform to run for the House

2. Remember, at this point in 2007 ...
Hillary was THE shoo-in candidate for the Dems ... Senator Obama was just a "speech at the 2004 Democratic convention, not a 'real' candidate" ...

6. but the media had already chosen the winner ...
and didn't Dick(hea*) Morris base his entire career on the fear that Hillary would someday be President? "Hillary vs. Condi" (on the 2008 prez race ...)

4. I doubt Cain or Perry would be picked for VP
The last two (R) VP picks were Palin and Cheney and neither were running for the nomination. Before that it was Jack Kemp and he had not run since '88.

Assuming the VP pick will be one of the clowns running for the nomination seems misguided.

7. Newt will crush Cain in tonight's debate and that will be he end of him.
And who knows, maybe both of them with any luck at all.
