Remember the book "Little Me" by Patrick Dennis?
It was about a narcissistic actress, Belle Poitrine, who wrote an autobiography about her life and how she became a star. It was brilliant satire about women who have to be in the spotlight, on stage and in front of the camera, no matter how little talent or ability they have and how they whore themselves to achieve that goal. Of course, back then, bimbos didn't enter politics. However, the book was all about ME ME ME ME ME. In this day and age I believe Patrick Dennis would have updated it to be about Sarah Palin, perhaps with a fictional name like Sally Fullofit. Honestly, just change a few names and places and it's all about HER.

Here's a review:

I especially like what he said here:

<snip>

"And, of course, it's all the sheerest nonsense ever put to paper -- a deadpan parody of the typical star's typical autobiography written with one part idiocy, one part euphemism, one part malarkey and ten parts sheer ego plus 150 (count 'em) photographs by Cris Alexander.

"And it may even mark a milestone in publishing history as the book that discouraged all other actresses from writing their memoirs. At any rate, we hope so."

I highly recommend this immensely entertaining, laugh-out-loud parody, which is a delight from beginning to end. In addition to being amusingly written, it is chock-full of hilarious photographs of Miss Poitrine in all her glory that add to the pleasure of reading this very funny pseudo-autobiography.

Hopefully Sarah's books will have the same effect of discouraging all other would be Tea Party candidates from writing their memoirs as well.

1. Yes, I remember it but 90% of the people have no satirical sense
and nearly everyone wants to be a hero in their own book. Still it was a stitch of a book and I used to have a copy.
