Texas State Representative (R) pleads guilty to stealing from the tax payers
http://bayareahouston.blogspot.com/2011/11/state-representative-joe-driver-takes.html

Republican and conservative has plead guilty to a third degree felony. He charged his campaign up to $100,000 for travel expenses, then filed the receipts again for reimbursement from the State. It is classic double dipping. He was exposed by Jay Root of the Associated Press and investigated by the Travis County DAs office. Yesterday, he pleaded guilty.

This is only one of many, many, many ethics violations in Texas:

1. I didn't think it was possible to have an ethics violation in Texas.
I didn't think Texas lawmakers recognized ethics.

2. Despite all the rhetoric and slogans on fiscal responsibility, I've never met a repub
who DIDN'T absolutely LOVE spending other people's money
