Reality Check: Republican LOSERS Did Not Overreach
Edited on Wed Nov-09-11 09:26 AM by kpete
To hear them spin it, Republicans lost because they “overreached.” The GOP went too far they say.

Ridiculous.

Let me say this is as clearly and as simply as I can: Republicans did not overreach. What they did is who they are. It is what they stand for. It is what they campaign on.

To claim otherwise would be like saying fish live under water because they suffer from unquenchable thirst.

2. Exactly.
"First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek? "

"He kills women..."

"No. That is incidental. What is the first and principal thing he does? What needs does he serve by killing?"

"Anger, um, social acceptance, and, huh, sexual frustrations, sir...

"No! He covets. That is his nature."

3. What they did is BE who they are
And much to their surprise, they got rejected.

Unlike George Bush and son, who ran as moderates and made a sharp right turn when they won, the present generation of rethugs are even bothering to hide their agendas, and even worse, they don't care if "the people" like it or not. Their job is to vote for Republicans -- on the ground that they ARE Repuglicans, or that they like Democrats even less.

I haven't had this much fun since November of 2006.
