2. Yes, and any minute now...
the right-wing media is going to start making weird amorphous associations about the "atmosphere" or something like that. They'll come up with something. I know how these bastards think.

5. Protesters at UC-Berkeley are students; Rioters at PSU are
students. Therefore, UC-Berkeley = PSU. There's a word for this type of logical fallacy in the construction of the syllogism, but I can't remember it right off-hand.

Any experts out there with training in formal logic want to lend a hand?

7. Wikipedia has a list of logical fallacies. It will be along similar lines.
I think it will be even less specific than that... it'll be kind of like Bush in Fahrenheit 9/11... "Iraq. al Qaeda. Iraq. al Qaeda." "Penn State. OWS. Penn State. OWS."

3. It's already happening in comments sections on news websites
Only a matter of time, like later today, before Faux starts doing the same thing.

8. That one describes the Penn State rioters as even worse than OWS...
if that's not damning with faint praise, I don't know what is. Someone called them out on it in the comments section.
