Jon Stewart rips Penn State officials, rioters over sex abuse scandal
Source: Raw Story
By David Ferguson

Are you ready for some football horribleness?” Daily Show host Jon Stewart asks at the beginning of this short-but-devastating segment from late in Thursday’s show. In it, he talks about the sex abuse scandal at Penn State and the riots on Wednesday night that saw students turning a news van on to its side and toppling streetlights.

He compares the situation to the abuse of children by Catholic priests and reminds the rioters, “No one is trying to take away your religion, they’re just trying to bring some accountability” to a Pope-like Joe Paterno and “some of his Cardinals”.

5. Well said. "Of course you'll have football on Saturday. You're young, and we wouldn't want
this memory to scar you for life."

13. Oh yeah, because they've been all over DU this week
Defending Paterno, defending Spanier, defending all those who covered up the abuse.

10. Awesome. I wish they had not blurred the college student's faces. They're adults and they should own
their own words. I expressed this on the site.

12. I was thinking the same
then I realized that these are pretty stupid kids and the consequences of that following them around are far worse than the crime of being stupid that they are committing
