There was only one candidate who might have been able to beat Romney and that was Perry. Now that Perry has imploded, there is really no one left to prevent Mitt from winning the nomination. Despite his current denials, Rubio will be the VP choice. The GOP ticket will almost certainly be Romney/Rubio.

7. Probably so...

Romney is like a used car salesman, but he at least gives them a chance. Mitt will at least have the good sense to move towards the middle for the general election. Cain, Newt, Bachmann, etc, etc, are all complete goofballs that would lose in landslides. Unless the baggers go suicidal, they really have no other choice than to go with Romney.
