1. Reporting on it now? If they are concerned why didn't they ignore the blackout?

Why did the press place themselves in a "press pen" instead of going into the park?

He could stay and report from the position the police allowed, or get arrested and not report anything.

His report on the 11 o'clock news was not sympathetic to the Police.

3. I think even you realize how lame that sounds.

What were they able to report from behind the stuff the police used to block their view?

As if their getting arrested would have stopped them from reporting actual news up until the point of their arrest. Unless they are claiming they would have been arrested first, before any actual protesters.

Their main concern was coming into possible contact with lice, bedbugs, and tb from those dirty people in jail. Not reporting. And their finger wagging after the fact doesn't lessen their sins.
