Ok filed, so let met tell you about Occupy San diego
First I went to the satellite group that is geting organized in Mission Bay. Oh the 17 should be interesting. The organizing committee was doing how to do this, and where do we start. People are from all communities, and want to up the visibility. Yes, in Downtown is somewhat invisible. Still, I have my personal reservations but that is me. As a reporter I am agnostic.

As to downtown the energy was electric. People knew that something bad happened and for people who were brought in as an emergency. I got the twitter notice oh around 12 in the afternoon... so quite brutally honestly did not expect much. Not bad for this town. We had about 200 marchers go down from Civic Center to the PD... that is from third to the 14, and then back and into the Gaslamp Quarter. I got a new chant for ya. "No Justice, No Peace, No police brutality."

What I also felt was a quite energized crowd. They know this matters. They also know that we are at some kind of an edge. Regardless the Middle Class women who delivered goods last Saturday and I got soaked, they were there. So were a few hardhats. Ok we also had a few anarchist kids, and yes, they are kids.

I am happy to report that yes, the camera I bought yesterday that is water resistant worked like a charm. Of course, those who know understand 180 photos, especially at night... and not a top of the line rig... meant a few good photos. I am picky too.

Oh and CNN freelancer showed up, I am sure you will find that of interest.

PD escorted the march to the HQ and down to Gaslamp...

I can tell you I have the feeling that Mayor Bloomberg just energized this AGAIN. I wonder, as the folks in World had your Say were joking today... is he an OWSer in disguise? I mean he is the best PR man we could see. No, not kidding. I also know this is predictable, almost as the sun rises in the East.

Oh and I did get my exercise... running back and forth, I am so glad I did not take a heavy jacket, and that gear is not that heavy. Oh and one cheap pen did die today for the cause. Hey ten cent pen, what did I expect?

1. Thanks for the report
If you can, find Keith Olbermann's special commentary for tonight. It fits right in with your comments about Bloomberg: Keith’s Special Comment: Why Occupy Wall Street needs Michael Bloomberg

Oh, here is the link to the video:

5. Thanks for the report. I think Bloomberg is just an arrogant
fool and he doesn't know how to stop this, so he keeps HELPING it instead.

He has energized people, all over the country people were marching in solidarity with OWS today. Huge crowds at OccupyCa too.

It sounds like you have a good group there. I'm glad you got a new camera and the photos are great.

Keep up the good work and it's good to know the 'middleclass housewives' were there too. I loved that article you wrote on them. One of the best I've seen on the occupations.

6. Thanks blushes
I decided to do a little old time and quote the people... aka give them voices. In the filed article today I included the words of one of the actual 24\7 occupiers, who is also homeless.

13. She wrote a really superb story a few days ago about the
Middleclass Women who went to the occupation. I'm sure it's in her journal and it really is worth reading. Nice photos also. I'm tired and must go or I would go find it, but I think you will agree, it really was a wonderful article.

10. Rule #1: ALWAYS have at least 3 cheap pens. ( your favorite will run dry every time, at the worst...
moment) I think it's a universal law. Same thing applies to batteries and mem chips. TWO BACKUPS, PEEPS!

Otherwise, you will find yourself trying to record history with a dead phone, or maxed out chip.
