I know the "compromise" will hurt us more than help us.

Based on the past "compromises" I am sure we will be pissed.

Why is it we do not trust our leaders to do the right thing.

What a joke this party has become.

2. Don't worry -- conservatives will get screwed too. Pretty much everyone who is a member of the 99 %
will in some way or another.

6. Yep, lots of money will continue to flow to the 1% and will be taken from the 99%.
BOTH liberals/progressives and conservatives will be upset.

Only the elite will be happy and some in our media will tell us that since everyone is upset then it must be the perfect compromise, and utter horseshit that would be.

7. Because the entire conversation is a discussion of the terms of our defeat.
There is no winning, the discussion is about how to shrink the pie rather than maintaining it or stimulating further growth.

One should always be prepared for a screwing when 100% of the dialog is what the shape, width, and length of the penis, time and duration of the act, and what orifice should be penetrated.

There is no winning unless you want to get fucked because a fucking is coming. It you don't want to get reamed then you are in the wrong debate.

8. The Debt Committee will make no decisions. There will be no agreement.

Unfortunately, I do not believe this will lead to cuts in defence.

I believe, if the Debt Committee fails, there are to be cuts in defence and social programs.

Congress will act to restore any funds that would have been cut in defence.
Republicans will oppose any attempt to restore funds that are cut in social programs.

Separately, the Bush tax cuts are scheduled to expire in 2012.
The interesting question is what happens with the Bush Tax Cuts.
I assume the Republicans will block the continuation of middle class and poor tax cuts
unless the rich get to keep their tax cuts.
I assume the Republicans will block any attempt at continuation of unemployment benefits.

9. Two words: Blue Dogs
These self-serving traitors have come out in support of extending Bush/Obama tax cuts, and won't allow anything progressive to move forward. They may not have the final say, but they hold enough sway to make sure the rest of the Dems can't get anything real accomplished. That's when Spineless Harry and Big Biz Nancy will say, "Oh well, we'd better just do what they want." After all, even if the rest us get screwed, THEY will all still make out like bandits. Literally.

10. I've been hearing rumors about the Chimp tax cuts becoming permanent
as a part of any deal. Not good because it takes away future bargaining power regarding revenues.

11. There won't be a "compromise".
What we will get is a horrible abomination of a bill that slashes social programs while "compensating" with the smallest possible amount of tax revenue so as to not offend the teabaggers.

I can only hope that the Senate declares it unacceptable. There aren't enough good people on the supercommittee for me to trust anything that comes out of it.
