Bail release question...
I was arrested in October as part of Occupy. I posted bail prior to arraignment.
At pre-counsel trial I requested bail release, which was granted.

Can I reclaim my own bail, or does my significant other who posted bail for me have to reclaim it?

Trying to plan our morning out tomorrow, thanks!

1. In most cases that I am familiar with, the person charged is the only person able to reclaim the
bail. But your spouse can reclaim it with a power of attorney.

4. They set bail on you? Generally trespass is no more than an appearance ticket.
In New York the bail goes to the person who posted it. Whatever the outcome, at the end of the case make sure the judge orders that the bail is exonerated. Then it can be picked up with a bail receipt.

We had an outpouring of attorneys step forward after they arrested us for this.

They actually charged us with two municipal parks violations, one tresspass and one loitering after dark.

Completely trumped up.

Thanks for helping answer this, it helps arrange our morning better!

7. No legal advice, just a big thank you for representing us 99%ers who can't be there in person.
