Happy Thanksgiving Folks! Gratitude Thread
I'm thankful for:

Having a good job. That my husband found a new job 1 week ago after being laid off. That my Mom is okay and alive-- and finally got into a doctor and got some antibiotics. My son and my nephew are healthy. My brother and sister are both employed and able to pay their bills. We have a roof over our heads, good food to eat. My foot has healed from it's sprain. We don't have 3 feet of snow outside (right now)---the weather has been damp but mild (supposed to go up to 60 tomorrow).

I'm also thankful for the OWS protestors and hope they stay warm and get some good food today. I'm thankful for my good friends I've met here and IRL.

1. Thankful for my family, friends neighbors...Thankful for the love we have for each other
We may not be rich but at least we have enough....It is my most sincere wish that America returns to what she once was. On the down side I hope all these politicians quit playing games..thus putting all ar risk..

I am thankfull for our President...

Especially thankful that for the first time in three years my health and the weather have cooperated to let us go celebrate Thanksgiving with family.

8. Whom I'm thankful to
Since I’m an atheist and therefore don’t believe in a supreme being or other divine or supernatural force, I’ll say whom I’m thankful to.

I'm thankful to my wife, Leonore, for my wonderful marriage and daily happiness. I'm thankful to a bunch of 17th and 18th century political philosophers for the system we live under. I'm thankful to Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson for Social Security and Medicare. I'm relieved, rather than thankful, that the tides of politics have kept the Republican Party, that well of vileness, from destroying those two programs. So far.
