Virginia State Troopers use excessive force and racial slurs on female Dr, who just had accident

RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) - A Florida civil rights group is asking the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate civil rights abuse allegations against two Virginia state troopers.

The group claims the troopers used excessive force, racial slurs, ethnic jokes and vulgar language against a Hispanic doctor after she crashed her car on I-395 in July.

The group distributed a state police dash cam video showing a scuffle as Dr. Maria I. Ferrer was arrested for refusing to sign her ticket.

It also captures the comments of the arresting officers.

"For all I know she works at Taco Bell... jalapeño police report," could be heard on the video. And then there is some joke about her being a burrito dr

The woman's lawyer says she refused to sign the ticket was confused after suffering a head injury.

No wonder they tried to make it illegal to videotape. It would put a damper on their party.
