(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT - The Kuwaiti government stepped down today, one week after the popular protests and the protest in Parliament, following in the footsteps of the Arab World uprisings. So reports pan-Arab satellite networks al Jazeera and al Arabiya, which quote political sources in Kuwait. Official news agency KUNA has not reported the news so far. According to the sources, the government this morning presented its resignation to the emir, Sheikh Sabah al Ahmad as Sabah, who will now have to decide whether or not to accept it. In the past days, hundreds of Kuwaitis and dozens of members of Parliament entered the national assembly, demanding the government's resignation and political reforms. (ANSAmed).
