And we have effectively crossed another marker

in the closing of the United States.

One of these days this place will also be closed down.

Any totalitarian state needs absolute control over information... so when the Net loses it's ability to be open... that will be the final stage.

We have been crossing those points every so often, and ever so much faster... and when the civil war that some of us have predicted breaks up... you will NOT hear about it... if they can help it. Once casualties reach beyond a certain point, then you will through underground channels. But in a way I am not surprised that this has happened. It is but one more marker of the closing of the United States... they are predictable, they follow the same dang steps...

So I am not crying, and I am not fully shocked... and things will not change for the better for a good while. In fact, they will get FAR WORST. And yes, we are pretty much reaching the point when we all will have to decide to risk it, or be quiet... we are close.

Oh and this is why all these media monopolies should be broken up, but they will not... not until well after the long night is over.

But at this moment I am shocked, I am crying and there's this awful empty feeling in my gut. Will hold out hope that the long night will be over, but right now I can only feel despair.

Just one more screw tightening... and an important screw.

No jobs.
Depression economy.
People forced out of their homes.
States bankrupt.
Minimized Police and fire protection.
Minimal workers unions.
Endless wars.
A crumbling infrastructure.
Propaganda and no real news and information.
A kangaroo supreme court.
A bought Congress, Senate, and President.

And a Constitution ripped apart and nullified...

We'll use dial up modems once more to plan the next attack.

oh and remember most modern puters don't have the actual hardware. I'm sure I can find an old puter on Craig's list with... a modem

I think we will need to think more primitive than that... paper hand outs, mimeographs.

The night gets a little darker and a little colder. Soon we will all have to chose.
