Jordanian MP pulls gun on activist during television debate

A Jordanian MP threw one of his shoes at a political opponent during a television debate before pulling a gun on him.

The incident occurred after the debate between MP Mohammad Shawabka and political activist Mansour Sayf al-Din Murad on the private satellite channel Jo Sat became heated, with the pair trading insults.

"You're a Mossad agent," said the activist, to which the MP replied: "You're a big crook."

Din Murad stood up and began shouting at the activist. The host, Mohammad Habashneh, who was sitting between them, urged his guests to "calm down".

Well, he certainly sounds more than stable enough to be elected, now doesn't he?

The nut job in Nevada couldn't manage it and she had the NRA behind her.

(Shai is a very rough approximation of how "tea" sounds in Arabic. Having been under British "protection," quite a few Arabs favor tea. For simiar reasons, many also drink what was once known as "Turkish coffee," but is now often referred to as "Arabic coffee" or simply "coffee," which sounds a little like "ehweh." Trying to approximate how Arabic sounds using the English alphabet is a losing fight, even if you are a strong Arabic speaker, which I am not.)
